Well It's about time I posted a blog to let you know what's going on in my life lately. I have pretty much quit taking custom orders so that I may concentrate on the crochet patterns. I am still making items. I have been made an offer to supply crochet items to a high end boutique in Oklahoma City, OK. I am really excited about this for a number of reasons. I can make what and how much I want, and on the days I am having issues with my hands, I can let them rest. I got a little overwhelmed with orders for awhile. I loved the orders but found it hard to keep up some days. I will also now be posting a few free items on this blog that I have available on Ravelry and Craftsy. I recently had one of my free items on the top 20 list!! That may not seem like a big deal to some but was quite an honor for me. Today was a great day!! We had a friend we haven't seen in a long time come over yesterday and him and my husband went fishing. I of course stayed home and worked on my next crochet pattern idea.....Then this morning we all went to breakfast and we said goodbye to him. Hopefully next time it won't be so long in between visits.....
Really excited about this next idea....
This afternoon my hubby and I took a long drive out in the country. I tried to get some really good pictures of the horses. I think that they were all camera shy. Each time I got the camera out and tried to set it up they ran off and hid......
I have gotten the results back from one person so far on the Cat with the Hat pattern....and looks like it is all good.......I can't wait to get this one published!!
Now I need to get a couple of orders done!! Have a good evening everyone and leave me a note......it is lonely here in blogland.....

Good Morning everyone......
Today my husband and I were going to tackle going through our bedroom and sorting through all the junk.....that has landed there and in the closet.....Unfortunately(?????) he has a migraine headache so that won't be happening....so instead I think I will finish up a pattern I have been working on and get it to my testers! Well time to catch up a little......
Sorry for neglecting this blog but I have been really crazy busy lately. I have had many orders, been designing some new items to make patterns for and most importantly........I have been trying to do lots of stuff with the Grandkids this summer. I am going to post a few pictures here of the patterns I have for sale, as well as the patterns I am working on......For those of you who have not been following me, I will explain my ventures in brief......
I have been crocheting since I was like 7 or 8. I also knit, but prefer crochet. I have always made items for family and friends but just recently started selling them, as a way to make my crafts pay for themselves. It started the end of October last year. I decided to make me a facebook page and add some things to Etsy. Well I had no idea it would take off like it did......I made over 200 custom orders before Christmas of last year. This year I started putting some of my ideas down on paper and making up my own patterns. I have about 12 patterns published now. I made me a list of all kinds of ideas and am working through that list as well as still doing some custom orders. I am working toward just doing the patterns, mostly because I am getting older and am having some issues with using my hands so much. My random thoughts.......
Any of you who know me, know that I seem to not be able to concentrate on one thing at a time......I am sure there is a name for this affliction of mine. ADD, ADHD, Bipolar, scatter brain.....I don't know......But the important thing is that I recognize this and deal with it. I have lately decided to quit fighting it and instead work with it. So now I have about 4 projects going all at the same time. This way I can jump back and forth on them. I limit myself to just these projects until all of them are complete.....then start again with 4 more. It works for me......so far.
Tomorrow I will be working on two orders, a blanket for a friends baby, and cleaning my shop......I really want to work in my garden some, but will make this wait until I have the other projects done.
I am also learning to make lists for myself. I seem to always have a million ideas swimming in my head but as soon as I sit down to work on them, they are gone......Sad part is I can't even blame it on age because I have always been this way.......
